What is Zerust®?
Zerust, a VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) is our proprietary formulation that emits an invisible vapor that attaches metal surfaces to keep rust and corrosion from forming.
How does Zerust® work?
The Zerust® Anti-Corrosive Bicycle Bag contains Zerust® VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) formulation that is designed to protect Metal surfaces from surface rust/corrosion. When your bicycle is placed inside the Zerust® bicycle bag, the bag begins to emit an invisible, odorless, non-toxic vapor (cleared by the FDA), which diffuses throughout the surrounding atmosphere until the air is saturated.
The Zerust® vapor molecules will cling to metal surfaces and protect them from rust and corrosion until the bicycle is removed from the bag. After removal, the Zerust® VCI molecules automatically vaporize from the bicycle leaving it clean, dry and corrosion free.
How to use your Zerust® Rust-Preventive Bicycle Cover Storage Bag
Follow these simple steps to make sure your bicycle has maximum protection against rust and corrosion formation while being stored.
- Thoroughly clean and dry your bicycle according to the manufacturers recommendations (check owner’s manual).
- The side with the Zerust® logo imprinted should be facing inward.
- Put the bag over your bicycle, covering completely
- For best results create an enclosure with the excess material by tucking under the wheels.
Your bicycle is now protected against rust and corrosion during storage.
